Description
The BrakeQuip BQ1016 is a 10mm inside-diameter copper crush washer used under banjo bolts and at brake line banjo fittings. Copper is used because it’s soft enough to cold-flow and fill surface imperfections when torqued, creating a reliable metal-to-metal seal — but that same softness means a washer that’s already been compressed once won’t seal as well the second time. Whenever a banjo bolt is removed for caliper, hose, or master cylinder service, fit a new BQ1016 rather than reusing the old washer.
