The BrakeQuip 16MMBT-6MJ adapts a 16mm x 1.5 thread (bubble-flare tube nut, common on European and heavy-duty applications) to a 9/16-18 male JIC (37-degree flare) thread. It’s used to connect a metric hard line to a component or hose end built to the JIC standard rather than replacing the hard line or hose entirely. Confirm both thread specs against your existing hardware before ordering — JIC and SAE inverted-flare fittings use different flare angles and are not interchangeable.
