The BrakeQuip BQ246 adapts a 1/8-27 NPT thread to an M12 x 1mm thread. NPT (National Pipe Taper) is the standard US pipe thread found on many pressure switches, proportioning valves, and brake light switches, while M12 x 1mm is a common metric brake-line thread. This adapter lets a component built to one standard thread connect into a port or line built to the other, without replacing the component itself. Confirm both thread sizes against your existing hardware before ordering — NPT and metric threads look similar at a glance but will not seal against each other without an adapter like this one.
